Brant Spring Retreat 2013 - MURDER!

At the spring retreat, April 5-7, 2013, we had several interesting events occur.

We had Strip Poker, which was a play on words and culmination of our Block of the Month Strip Tease Club.

We had a Murder Mystery with the Real Quilters of Patchwork Lane, titled QUILTED TO DEATH – a life and death drama produced by Roseline’s sister.

The cast of characters: Bessie Westwood, Jennie Lovestrong, Louise Meeknmilder, Madge Smith, Grace Stevens, E-vonne, Charles Westwood and Detective Colombo.

Jennie Lovestrong, Detective Columbo (CD), E-vonne, Bessie Westwood, Madge Smith, Grace Stevens who lives next door to Bessie  and carries on a feud with Bessie.

Joy plays innocent...calmly eats her dessert which was delivered when Bessie leaves the room.

Jennie owns the local quilt shop, Piecemakers Haven. She had an argument with Bessie last week. 

Colombo, with her magnifying glass, checking the murder scene and discovering the love-note with a blood-soaked stain. The plot thickens...

E-vonne, only has the one name, like Cher and Madonna, fluttering her eyelashes at Fred (ahem) AKA Charles. She sports a tattoo of a famous biker gang.

Detective Colombo is flummoxed.

It takes a lot of thinking...

My, oh my! What it the laughter all about?

Louise Meeknmilder, the town librarian - egads, the murder takes place in her library! Her husband has a gun collection...Bessie was shot in the head!

The guild members try to find the murderer. Madge's husband has a gun collection...

Who could it be???
Louise? A mild-mannered, quiet young woman who has an undisputed love of books – has a secret crush on Charles. 

 The plot thickens...

Charles and E-Vonne had a fling when they were younger. According to Madge, the relationship has resumed since she saw them walking hand-in-hand in the park.

Where was Charles all this time?

Colombo gets her forensic CSI report...

Joan, who reads Fifty Shades of Grey and is known to love the colour grey...she holds the membership sign-in sheet which was confiscated by the police...

Roseline tells Madge that she was known to detest Bessie who never lets her win at the quilt shows.
